PDP is the party to vote

The 3 candidates of the APC, LP, and PDP belong to the 3 major ethnic groups in Nigeria. Most of their supporters are from their respective regions. I am from a tribe that is only found in 5 LGAs in Edo State, Nigeria. Though we are a minority, our people have played critical roles in the life of our nation. Anthony Enahoro was the first Nigerian to move for our nation's independence from the British. Admiral Augustus Aikhomu was a former Vice President of Nigeria under the Military regime of Ibrahim Babangida. Though a minority, the Esan people have played their role in nation building. 

Our people should not be drawn into the historical struggle for power between the major ethnic groups in Nigeria. Their struggle for power amongst themselves caused the Nigeria Civil war.

We should support those who we feel meet our collective aspirations. I have pitch my tent with Atiku Abubakar because I feel he meets my expectations of who a Nigerian President should be. He is competent and also very experienced and has built bridges across Nigeria. He has also picked a running mate from a tribe that is a neighbour to the Esan people. Owa-Alero where Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa his running mate comes from is a town that is less than an hour drive from my beloved town of Ewohimi.

In all, we wish our country well.
